Prominent Houston defense lawyer Rusty Hardin has been named the special prosecutor in the court of inquiry for former Williamson County District Attorney Ken Anderson.
The court of inquiry will decide whether Anderson, who is now a district judge, acted improperly and kept information from the defense during the 1987 murder trial of Michael Morton. Morton was wrongly convicted of killing his wife, Christine Morton.
