Story Title:
Living wage at heart of overhaul to city incentive program

Story Summary:
A special committee tasked to review the city's policy on offering economic incentives met for the final time Tuesday afternoon. Many of the changes proposed by the group are meant to ensure that the companies which receive incentives pay their employees a living wage. By Austin standards, that is at least $11 an hour, but advocates say the typical laborer in Austin only gets about $7.50 an hour.
