Austin police have closed the investigation surrounding the death of Esme Barrera, saying they are confident that 25-year-old James Loren Brown is responsible for her death. Brown's body was found in his apartment later in January, dead from what was ruled suicide. Police said they would continue to investigate the murder until they were confident he was the killer.
