Austin police have charged 23-year-old Mario Angeles-Hernandez with endangering a child, a state jail felony, in the New Year’s Day death of 13-year-old Sophia Martinez. Police records show Angeles-Hernandez supplied Martinez and another teenage girl with alcohol before dropping them off at a house in southeast Austin. Martinez was already unresponsive when she arrived at the residence.
