Austin police have now charged Mario Angeles-Hernandez with indecency with a child by contact in relation to the New Year’s Day death of 13-year-old Sophia Martinez. The 23-year-old also faces a child endangerment charge. Police records state Martinez died after consuming alcohol given to her by Angeles-Hernandez. He is not currently in custody.
