Story Title:
Acevedo identifies suspect in Monday crime spree, police shootout

Story Summary:
During a press conference Tuesday, Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo identified the suspect in Monday's officer involved shooting as 51-year-old Mark Fruge. The chief said Fruge led officers--and a civilian witness--on a chase through Central and East Austin after robbing an armored truck driver in a discount store in Capital Plaza. Fruge shot at officers and hijacked and kidnapped a civilian driver before surrendering without incident as his apartment. One officer suffered an injury to his knee, but is expected to make a full recovery.
