Story Title:
Medical Examiner: ‘Not much could be done’ for Courtney Griffin

Story Summary:
During Friday afternoon testimony, Austin’s chief medical examiner said there wasn’t much that could be done for 30-year-old Courtney Griffin in the early morning hours of May 27, 2011. Prosecutors say Griffin was struck on Exposition Boulevard by a black BMW driven by an intoxicated Gabrielle Nestande. Dr. David Dolinak said Griffin died from blunt force injuries, and was only alive two to three minutes after the crash. The family of Griffin left the courtroom twice Friday as prosecutors showed grisly pictures of the crash scene and the autopsy.
