Ladies Without Limits: Mental Preparedness
Months of training come to an end Sunday, June 8.
More than 3,000 women will compete in a 1/2 mile open water swim, 12-mile bike ride and 5K run at Decker Lake in Austin during the Danskin Triathlon.
News 8 Austin's Veronica Castelo sat down with Tri Zones Coach Gina Lardon who offered the following tips:
Start training your mind. Start getting mentally prepared instead of trying to do anything physical.
Taper off your workouts. Take it easy and let your muscles relax.
Do an equipment check list and make sure everything is in working order.
Hydrate all week long. With sky high temperatures, nutrition and hydration is even more important. Drink more water than you would normally.
