Outreach Productions is hosting one of the many Juneteenth events to celebrate freedom and individuality.

"It is a non-profit corporation that Deborah Orr started to promote literacy among the youth by utilizing the libraries," said Lynda Coleman, with Outreach Productions.

The purpose of the event is to help young people discover themselves by finding out what their names mean and to promote a positive image because of an the incident that was tied with the Juneteenth week events last year.

"I encourage the youth to find out who they are," said Coleman. "How can we celebrate Juneteenth for freedom, if they don't know who they are, if they are not free inside?"
