A pedestrian is in the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a cyclist.

Officials said the pedestrian stepped off the curb at Loyola Lane and Manor Road and was hit around 10 p.m., Wednesday.

The injured person was taken to University Medical Center at Brackenridge.

The identity of the cyclist and victim have not been released.
