Outside the Gym: Stability for runners
Have you ever wondered how to become a stronger runner?
Ryan Nail, the owner of CoreFit Training, said you should try stabilization.
One technique is called a “leg up,” and all you need to do is stand with legs shoulder-width apart and focus on a point in front of you.
Then, raise one leg to a 90 degree angle and hop forward on that one leg, under control.
Be sure to flex your stomach muscles as you land.

Taking the exercise to the next level, hop backward on the same leg.
Repeat the exercise.
Another exercise is hopping in the same position, but for height instead of distance.
“What you’re going to want to do is you’re going to want to hop about 30 yards [forward] and then 30 yards back,” Nail said. “It’s all about repetition.”
