A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the wife and children of a worker killed in an Austin construction accident earlier this month.

Scaffolding collapsed on the site of the 21 Rio condo project, sending Wilson Cerritos and two other men plunging to their deaths.

The lawsuit claims American Mast Climbers, the makers of the scaffolding, produced a defective product and failed to provide adequate warnings.

It also accuses the general contractor and subcontractor of negligence for failing to provide a safe workplace.

Cerritos will be buried in his native home of Honduras Saturday.
