Texas is losing more than 200,000 acres of open space yearly, according to the nonprofit group
Texas Land Conservancy.
The nonprofit conservation organization is dedicated to conserving land in Texas to benefit wildlife and to preserve examples of our natural and cultural heritage. It is one of the oldest and largest land trusts in the state.
News 8's Paul Brown sat down with Kate Vickery with the organization to find out more.
