Looking for a new addition to your family? With Time Warner Cable’s new Paws On Demand, you can browse pets up for adoption before heading to the shelter at the
Austin Humane Society.
“You can find out a little bit about the personality of the pet,” Michelle Roebuck with Time Warner Cable said. “You can see them running around and playing, and you can actually see what the animal is like before you go down to the Humane Society and check them out.”
You can find the Paws On Demand feature on the Central Texas On Demand channel. If you are in the Austin/ San Marcos area, that’s channel 1400. If you live in the Waco/ Temple/ Killeen area, you’ll find it on Channel 200. Just look under Community, and browse through videos of dogs and cats by name.
“Every year we serve thousands of animals and find new homes for them,” Lisa Starr with the Austin Humane Society said. “We are always seeking ways to gain exposure so folks can know about all of the great dogs and cats that we have.”
Even if you are not on the market for a new furry friend, you can help the Austin Human Society just by viewing the videos on demand. In the month of July, Time Warner Cable will donate $1 to the Austin Humane Society for every view of the Paws On Demand feature.
