OctoTea 16 was a chance to raise money for AIDS awareness in Central Texas.
The Octopus Club is a volunteer fundraising arm of AIDS Services of Austin. Saturday, they held their annual OctoTea party at the Mexican American Cultural Center.
All proceeds from the event went to help people in the Central Texas community living with HIV and AIDS.
Some organizers say many people don't realize they're infected.
"Over 6,000 people in Central Texas are still affected by this disease, and we're working hard to make sure more people don't become infected," AIDS Services of Austin spokesperson Paul Scott said.
In its 16 year history, the event has raised more than $1.6 million for people living with AIDS in the area.
