A walk in downtown Austin this weekend aims to bring power to the pups.
The Texas-Sized Pittie Pride, organized by Love-A-Bull, will kick off Saturday.
Leala Ward with Love-A-Bull says the event carries an important message.
"Pit bull-type dogs can live good happy lives with their families and their guardians, and they can also get along with other dogs,” she said. “So not only can they get along amongst each other but they can also get along with other breeds as well."
The dog walk starts at noon, and the festival runs from 1 to 5 p.m. at Republic Square Park.
