The annual
Hill Country Ride for AIDS is only months away, but if you don’t ride bicycles there are still ways you can get involved.
For the first time in the history of the ride, runners will also be included. Ride officials are also hosting a 5K, 10K and half marathon trail run on the same day.
David Smith is the executive director of the Hill Country Ride for AIDS. He said they’re looking to get about 200 volunteers for the event.
The kickoff party is Friday 7:30 p.m. at the Austin Music Hall. The ride will be April 28 at Reunion Ranch.
The money raised from the event benefits 10 local organizations. If you’d like to volunteer, visit hillcountryride.org.
