One Austin bookstore is asking you to re-think what is trash and what is recyclable treasure.

Recycled Reads accepts used books, records, VHS tapes and more. They rely on donations and materials Austin libraries no longer use to in turn help the library system.

"As well as selling books and raising money for the library, a big part of our initiative is our zero landfill promise to the city and we are recycling about ten tons of materials a month,” Recycled Reads Manager Mindy Reed said.
