Officials say a corrections officer found 55-year-old Roel Robert Valenzuela in distress Thursday afternoon. Despite emergency responder efforts, Valenzuela died in his cell.

The Medical Examiner's Office says the death appears to be due to natural causes.
Valenzuela was in jail on a Criminal Trespass charge.
