Austin police are investigating the discovery of a body at the Roy G. Guerrero Park Friday afternoon.

Officers say someone discovered the decomposing body around 2:45 p.m. near the ball fields on Grove Boulevard.

Investigators believe the body could be a woman because of the earrings found at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
