“A lot of people from the United Kingdom, Spain, Brazil, Germany places like that and restaurants need to be aware of that type of consumer,”
Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope said. “They’re used to smoking in restaurants, so restaurants may want to consider extra patio space to accommodate smokers.”
The biggest thing Pope said restaurants need to be aware of is many people from other countries aren’t used to giving gratuity. Restaurants abroad generally add gratuity into their bills.
