Intel is setting up new digs in South Austin, which is good news for its lucrative internship program with the University of Texas.

Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope says Intel employs more than 1,000 people locally, some who found their jobs through what’s called UT’s ‘job pipeline’ to the company. Interns start out at the company for experience, many of them landing a job at the tech leader.
