“UT will commit some professors over at the business school and some students. They’ll work with executives in the private sector on that business to get them to a point where they can confidently pitch investors and get their business to the next level,” Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope said.

The program is free and helps students get interaction with real companies. It also helps companies receive much-needed help.

Over the past couple of years, the Texas Ventures Lab has had about 30 companies go through the program and more than half have received funding from investors after they’ve “graduated."

Learn more about how the program works and how much money companies have received by going through the program in this edition of Business Now.
