Another golf course and about 1,000 homes are slated for the Woodcreek subdivision in Wimberley, but not if some existing residents have anything to do with it.

Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope says a group against the expansion, Wimberley Valley Watershed Association, has filed a lawsuit against the developer, hoping the judge will stop the firm’s three-year production permit.

The residents who oppose the project say they were denied due process, spanning from issues related to nearby Jacobs Well and Cypress drying up. If the expansion pulls from the Trinity Aquifer, they believe it could put water supply in jeopardy.
