The Lake Travis Youth Association is looking to sell its current set of athletic property, known as the “Field of Dreams,” but city planning may be keeping buyers away.
The athletic association has outgrown its current setup and even has a new property in mind, but first it needs to sell the property it currently uses for athletic fields.
Some buyers have shown interest in developing the land into multi-family residences, but Bee Cave’s city plan discourages their construction and puts a firm focus on single-family homes. Tony Quesada with the Austin Business Journal said that conflict could be driving potential buyers away and could lead to a lower purchase price than planned.
