Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope said grabbing a space for about 100 employees or more is pretty impossible at the moment. Vacancy rates for Class A office properties have dropped to about 10.9 percent in the downtown area.
There are only five buildings that could accommodate a medium-to-large business size. The crammed space has caused newcomers like Visa and Apple to choose North Austin for their new facilities.
