If you were a gamer in the 1990s, you might remember a PC game called “Wing Commander.”

Austin Business Journal Editor Colin Pope said the game’s creator, Chris Roberts, plans to make a comeback here in the Capital City. His start-up, Cloud Imperium Games Corp., has raised $6.2 million from investors for a new game to be developed in Austin.

However, it’s not the kind of investors you would think. Roberts has raised money for his new venture, “Star Citizen,” through the fundraising site, Kickstarter.

He plans to repay investors by giving them free add-ons to the game. Find out more in this edition of “Business Now” in the video above.
