Capital Tonight: Texas primary is prize on the horizon for GOP hopefuls
As the primary season drags on, it's looking more and more likely that Texas will play an important role in the GOP nomination process. That fact certainly hasn't slipped past Rick Santorum, the only candidate to stump in the Lone Star state, visiting twice in the last month. Today, Santorum stopped in San Antonio.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison raised conservative eyebrows Thursday, when she said Gov. Perry should work with the federal government to keep federal dollars flowing for the Texas Women's Health Program.

Just how vulnerable is our state's government when it comes to corruption? The answer came this week through the State Integrity Investigation, a corruption-risk grade card developed by the Center for Public Integrity. The center asked one political reporter from each state to look at several categories, and then their findings were turned into grades. Here in Texas, veteran political journalist Kelley Shannon was given the task.
