It was day free from school and perfect for playing at the park. Nick showed off his skills with the football.

Nick said physical education is his favorite class and math comes in close second.

One of his case workers said he needs a family who can help him study for his classes.

"Someone that is willing to advocate for his educational needs," social worker Candice Douglas said.

Besides playing games on the field and court, Nick has other hobbies.

"Playing video games," he said.

Nick said he hopes to find a family that will play sports and video games with him. He also loves animals, but he has a favorite.

"A dog, a poodle, her name is Tinkerbell," he said.

Nick can be a little shy when you first meet him, but he said he wants a family he can love and open up to.

"Finding a family that is going to be his forever, and take on the role of being his family forever," Douglas said. "Foster care is not that permanent stable home that he needs."

While he loves playing the court when it comes to basketball, Nick said he's ready to score his forever family.

In partnership with the Adoption Coalition of Texas, YNN's Jennifer Borget takes her number one priority -- family-- and gives you a glimpse into the eyes of a foster child who needs one. Every Sunday, Jennifer sheds light on some of the issues surrounding foster care and adoption and introduces you to children looking for forever families.
