A one-on-one lesson from Coach Tami Felty, Assistant Director of Austin Lady Magic Basketball, was just the confidence-booster 13-year-old Tasha needed to calm her nerves.

Tasha is trying out for her school basketball team and has the personality traits of a great player.

"I'm talkative, athletic, strong willed. A never-giver-upper," Tasha said.

She looks forward to having the stability which comes with a forever family.

"To me it means for adoption, you have a family that you get to stay with forever,” Tasha said. “A foster home is just temporary."

Tasha likes to be outdoors, go camping and loves to learn new things. With a mom and a dad, she’d have opportunities to do things she’s rarely able to now.

When asked who her favorite person to talk to was, Tasha said it was God. She prays several times a day to keep her spirits up. She prays that a forever family will find her, and find it in their hearts to welcome her into their lives.
