Forever Families: 15-year-old Brian hasn't given up on adoption

After waiting in foster care for years, some teenagers can feel defeated, and less optimistic about the possibility of being adopted.
For 15-year-old Brian, he's felt that way before, but he's now more optimistic than ever and is hoping there's a family out there that's ready to welcome him into their lives.
Brian had a great time bowling and playing games at Main Event. He offered bowling tips and opened up about his hobbies. The 15-year-old enjoys running and writing poetry.
Sometimes, teenagers can clam up about their feelings and not want to talk about what they're going through with adults. But Brian wears his heart on his sleeve, and he can't wait to have parents to open up to.
"For me, to go into a family, to feel close and to know I'm theirs forever,” Brian said. “It would be cool for me."
Brian knows that when you join a family, the relationship goes both ways, and while he'll be gaining so much, to have loving parents, he hopes to give them a great son.
"If that person does adopt me then, you know, a mom or dad, I'm going to love them, care for them, and be there for them," he said.
