David is a 17-year-old outdoorsman who loves horses and all kinds of animals.

The young man is a young Jack of all trades. He likes indoor activities and loves getting out. He used to live on a ranch where he was able to learn how to take care of them and ride them.

YNN’s Jennifer Borget saddled up at the Spirit Reins Ranch. He worried a little bit about being rusty, but was ready to get back on the horse.

"I'm actually surprised I did good because I haven't ridden a horse in like two years," he said.

David didn't let fear stop him from riding, and he's not letting it stop him from continuing his search for a forever home.

"I really want a family,” he said. “Because they help you out in hard times and it's good to have a family that will be there when you need them."

He wants a family that's there to help during difficult times and celebrate good times.

"A mom and a dad, some brothers and sisters, or just brothers. It doesn't really bother me--and then animals,” David said. “Pretty much likes to go outdoors, hangs out and stuff."

David says he doesn't really have a favorite subject in school, he likes them all. When he grows up, he'd like to be either a police officer or a CIA agent.
