Nakia’s new album is being fan funded.
Fans can pre order Nakia’s new album for $10 or more, and with that, fans receive the record before it’s available to the public. They will have access to demos and behind the scenes action.
“The thing that I’ve learned the most is when you give fans an inside look at the process and allow them to peek behind the curtain, if you will, it really deepens your connection with them,” Nakia said.
Nakia said he thinks the project has given fans a better understanding of the stories behind his songs.
In addition to local fans, Nakia has received worldwide support from fans in Japan, Philippines and even Australia.
He’ll be playing Blues on the Green at Zilker Park on July 25. Learn more about his project in this edition of “Backstage Pass.”
