Not many people can afford a $30 million price tag on a ticket to outer space, but Austin's own Richard Garriott paid his way.
Through the journey, Garriott became the subject of a documentary. “Man on Mission: Richard Garriott's Road to the Stars" opens locally at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar and through Video on Demand.
The feature is a previous audience award winner at the South by Southwest film festival and a marvel of ambition and adventure.
