You won't see Willie Nelson on the big screen in the upcoming prohibition era drama "Lawless," but you will hear his new song "Midnight Run" on the soundtrack. The song accompanies the movie's 1930s-story based on a real life Virginia family of moonshine bootleggers.

"Well, I've had a lot of experience in drinking it and selling it, I guess , over the years, so I thought it was a great song," Nelson said. "I did it because I liked the song and because Harvey [Weinstein] wanted me to do it. That fact that it turned out to be in a great movie is even better."

Nelson visited a special Austin screening of the film at the Alamo Drafthouse over the weekend. YNN's Victor Diaz has more from the red carpet in the video above.
