A local film critic turned author is living the dream of becoming a major movie screenwriter and his work might just give you nightmares.

Much of the upcoming horror film "Sinister" is written by Austin's C. Robert Cargill. Some might recognize Cargill's pen name, Massawyrm, from the many movie reviews he wrote over the years for Ain't It Cool News.

Cargill collaborated with director Scott Derrickson on the writing of "Sinister" which stars Ethan Hawke and opens in theaters everywhere Friday.

YNN's Victor Diaz interviews Cargill about getting his creepy story to the big screen in the video above.
