Steamboat was a live music venue that helped shape Austin's reputation as the "Live Music Capital of the World." Even though the bar closed its doors on Sixth Street in 1999, former owner Danny Crooks still hosts an annual reunion event.

Willie Nelson "will always be on Austin's mind" from here on out. A bronze statue of the one-and-only music icon was unveiled on Willie Nelson Boulevard near Moody Theater Friday, shortly after 4:20 p.m. Nelson was there himself to see the statue, and even gave a free mini concert to the massive crowd that came out for the occasion.
