Months of work for the Texas volleyball team culminate on Thursday with the start of the NCAA volleyball tournament, and the pursuit of a championship that has been elusive for the Horns. Texas has been as close as you can get. They reached three straight final fours from 2008-2010 and the national championship match in 2009.

This year Jerritt Elliott has his Horns primed for another lengthy tourney run. UT is the third overall seed and will host every match before the Final 4 if it can advance. In some ways, the team is relieved to have the postseason upon them.
