Former Texas basketball player Gary Johnson is expected to make a full recovery after a scary incident in a game in Israel. Johnson fractured his skull in a collision with an opponent, and was put in a medically induced coma initially, but has since regained consciousness.
A UT basketball official said Johnson himself sent a text message to UT trainer Eric Fry Wednesday afternoon saying "I'll Be Fine..." An Israeli basketball association official said Johnson will require some plastic surgery, but should make a full recovery. Johnson was elbowed in the head by an opponent.
