The independent agency that called for the firing of Austin police officer Julie Schroeder is having its monthly meeting Monday.

It's a chance for the public to voice their concerns or praise of the Citizen Review Panel's recommendation.

The recommendation fell in line with APD Chief Stan Knee's decision Friday to suspend Schroeder indefinitely, ending her career with the department.

Schroeder was involved in the deadly shooting of 18-year-old Daniel Rocha.

The meeting is open to the public at 6 p.m. on Monday at the YMCA's East Community Branch at 5315 Ed Bluestein Blvd.

People who want to speak must sign up an hour beforehand.
