Protester arrested at Schroeder hearing
A protester was arrested outside the Julie Schroeder hearing Friday, bringing proceedings to a temporary halt.
Police arrested Renteria Vida-Fuerte, 33, and charged him with hindering a proceeding by disorderly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by a maximum $4,000 fine and up to a year in jail.
Former Austin Police Officer Julie Schroeder testified Friday in hopes of getting her job back.
Schroeder was fired after she fatally shot and killed an 18-year-old last year during a drug investigation.
