ACC to hire over 100 new full-time faculty and staff
Austin Community College officials announced Tuesday their plans for hiring over 100 new full-time faculty and staff for 2010.
Officials said they are adding the staff to meet the demands of rising enrollment and the fall opening of their new Round Rock campus.
“This new hiring reflects ACC’s commitment to expanding our faculty and staff base as enrollment increases,” ACC president/CEO, Dr. Stephen B. Kinslow said. "We want to ensure all students have access to the same high-quality education and support services as ACC grows.”
Officials said the college is also searching for adjunct faculty members to meet the high-demand of programs like auto repair, heating and air conditioning and construction.
Currently the college has over 3,100 employees that service eight counties. They enroll over 40,000 students each semester.
The full-time positions are already posted on their Web site.
