The trial was set to start onMonday, May 17.

According to the court, a delay has been approved by Judge Wilford Flowers due to a personal emergency on the side of the defense.

Earlier this year, Hall was taken back into custody to await her new trial.

She will be tried for charges connected to the 2005 murder of Jennifer Cave in West Campus.

In the case’s original trial in 2007, Hall was sentenced to five years for tampering with evidence and helping convicted murderer Colton Pitonyak cover up the crime.

Pitonyak was sentenced to 55 years.
