Austin Community College announced Wednesday it has entered into a contract for nearly 90 acres of land near downtown Bastrop.

The plot is located on FM Road 304 near Highway 71.

But, it's not a done deal yet. Bastrop voters will decide whether or not to become part of the taxing district in coming fall elections.

Meanwhile, ACC will publish a service plan and hold a public hearing about the programs and services it would bring to the community.
