A woman is taking Southwest Airlines to court.
The woman said she was bumped from a flight to accommodate an overweight person. The incident occurred earlier this month on a fight from Las Vegas to Sacramento.
Officials with the airline said they only asked the woman to give up her seat because the passenger was an obese minor traveling alone.
They say they didn't want to leave the 14-year-old stranded at the airport.
The woman's attorney said the airline should have handled the situation in a different manner and should have asked for volunteers to leave the plane.
Airline officials said if the overweight passenger was an adult, they would have had to purchase an extra ticket.
