Sunday, actors and crew from the movie
Bunraku hit the red carpet at the
Alamo Drafthouse in South Austin for
Fantastic Fest.
The picture claims to have elements of comic books, spaghetti westerns, samurai movies and video games all rolled into one.
Actor Josh Hartnett let us in on some of the action.
"I had a lot of physical things to do in this film. I've never done this much stunts in my life, so for me that was something new. I enjoyed doing it," he said.
We also caught up with the director Guy Moshe and asked him about his take on the complexity of the film.
"The film started from sort of a concept that was more abstract than just having like a painting or a piece of concept art, and evolved into what it is visually alongside this concept," Moshe said.
The name Bunraku is taken from Japanese puppetry and the film plays on that to enhance the surrealism of the show.
