Doctors at Dell Children’s Medical Center are teaming up with families to battle childhood obesity and they now have a new tool.
Hand-held tablet computers teach kids at the East Austin hospital a healthier lifestyle. Accessible graphics and interactive apps trump the old-fashioned list of dos and don'ts.
Dell Children’s received the tables a couple of months ago. They help teach the children which foods are fattier and which would make better options.
Child patients are not allowed to take the computers home, but are able to download the web-based content for use at home.
