Getting the proper amount of rest isn't always easy, but over at the Brain Music Center of Austin, it’s all about training your mind to sleep well.

The center hooks its clients onto a machine that reads brain waves, no doctors or medications required.

“We take a short recording of a person’s brain waves with an EEG machine,” Jack Dennsion, the center’s founder, said. “It’s been shown in blind studies to be about 85 percent effective in relieving insomnia."

The brain waves are then turned into synthesized music, tailor-made for your brain wave. It comes on an MP3 and CD to turn on right in time for bedtime.

YNN’s Morning Anchor Todd Boatwright has an odd sleep schedule to say the least -- he wakes up at 2 a.m. for work. He gave the Brain Music Center of Austin a try to see if he can fall sleep to just the right tune.
