While big box retailers are drawing huge crowds searching for big deals on electronics and other goods, music fans are heading to area record stores for the annual Record Store Day.
Each year on Black Friday, artists release new records to promote local record stores across the country. Over 100 new records were released this year on Record Store Day.
Some of the bigger releases came from Dawes, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds as well as local records like HAAM Jam. Proceeds from the HAAM Jam record will go to benefit the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
