Austin will host its first-ever "GoGreen" conference with a focus on connecting Texas businesses with good green ideas.
Homeowners might even pick up a few tips for their back yards, too.
The event takes place April 6 at the Austin Convention Center.
More than 60 speakers will discuss topics ranging from sustainability practices to transportation, landscaping and marketing.
Keynote speaker Lucia Athens, Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Austin since 2010, said conferences like this have already been successful in bringing businesses together in Portland and Seattle.
Athens said an announcement at the conference will detail new city plans and green business initiatives.
Other speakers at the event include Lee Matecko of Whole Foods and Nicholas Cole of Car2Go.
